About the Author

Hello hello!!!

My name is Elizabeth (Izzy for short)!

I began my writer’s journey at a young age, writing, illustrating and binding a ten page ‘novel’ when I was twelve years old.

I’d always been told that when you grow up, you can only do one thing. You can’t be good at lots of things – only one! So I decided that I would be a writer, and writing has always been a part of me.

I primarily wrote poetry, especially in high school. Everything was poetry back then. My Creative Writing class meant the world to me (thanks Mr. Lang) and I wrote my first full novel in 2007 that will never see the light of day (lol!)

After high school, I gave up my dream of becoming an author to pursue dancing and to join a professional ballet company. Again, I couldn’t be good at dancing and writing, so I picked dance. I loved dancing, but after two years dancing professionally, I was dropped out of a lift and had to retire at the ripe ‘ole age of 23!

From there, I began to work at my local dancewear store and my family purchased the business. I travel the U.S. fitting pointe shoe all over the country.

Fast forward a many years, a husband and two kids, I felt a pull towards writing again. I started making tabletop gaming dice as my first step back into the creative realm and have loved it. But nothing had quite filled that void when I gave up writing. It’s taken me nearly a decade to figure out who I am without dance and now as a mother.

But now as a [somewhat] mature adult, wife and mother, I have learned that you can be good at many things and not be confined to a singular box of ‘i-can-only-do-this-one-thing-forever.’ I can be a mom and a pointe shoe fitter and a dice smith and a dancer and a writer.

The limit does not exist.

Alas, here we are! I’m currently working on my debut novel and hope to have it published in 2027 (lol lets hope!)
